Joyce Elaine Fugate, 83, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 14, 2018 at her home in Jacksonville, Florida.  She was born on October 29, 1934 to James A. Rissinger and Mary Beatrice Jones in Mahanoy, Pennsylvania.

Joyce loved her family and her pets with all her heart.  She said without love you have nothing.  She loved her home and enjoyed drinking coffee, shopping and finding sand dollars on the beach.

Joyce was preceded in death by her son James Lee Fugate, daughter Judith "Judy" Ann Fugate, sister Beatrice "Bette" Eileen Rissinger, mother Mary Beatrice Rissinger and father James A. Rissinger.

She is survived by her son Jack Mott Fugate, Jr., daughter Janice Fugate Marino (Michael); granddaughters Marlaina Bitner, Renee Dickerson; grandsons Charles Mark Hughes Jr. (Crissy), Justin Mott Fugate, Jack Mott Fugate III, John Seiler (Marixa), James "Jimmy" Lee Fugate II (fiancé Alexis Leigh Abercrombie), Joseph Mott Fugate, Tristan Matthew Marino, Wesley Harold Marino; great granddaughters Samantha (Kurt) Gruver, Rylee Dickerson, Morgan Bitner, Madasyn Lee, Avalee Segrave, Amara Belle Hughes, Aurora Jade Fugate, Oakley Seiler; great grandsons Bane Killian Hughes, Jacob Alaric Fugate; and great-great granddaughter Kylee Gruver. (We miss her so much already.  She was the love and strength that held our family together).

A visitation service will be held from 6PM-8PM, Tuesday, October 23, 2018 in the Arlington Park Funeral Home Chapel, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL 32211.  A funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 10AM with The Reverend Richard W. Dow officiating.  Internment will immediately follow in the Arlington Park Cemetery, 6921 Lone Star Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32211
