Obituary

Judith Ann Crumley (77), passed away peacefully on May 9, 2018. Judy grew up in Jacksonville and attended Jackson High School, where she was a member of the band and played the Alto Sax. Judy continued her education at Jacksonville University and majored in Elementary Education. She also obtained a Masters degree in Educational Leadership at the University of North Florida. Judy spent thirty-six years as a dedicated educator at many of the area public schools: Holiday Hill, Brookview, Fort Caroline, and West Jacksonville Elementary. She made many life-long, dear friends throughout her tenure with the school board and positively impacted many children's lives. She was an active member of the Alpha Delta Kappa sorority, where she served on the board in various positions over the years.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents Ed and Alma Crumley, and her brother Thomas Crumley. She is survived by her niece and nephew Stephanie Kemmerer (Andy) and Tommy Crumley (Stacy), Sister-in-law Mary Ann Crumley, Cousins Virginia Hinds (Robert), David Harris (Kathy), Denise Anderson (Andy) and Wayne Johnson (Ida). She has four great-nieces Lainey Kemmerer, Macy, Allie, and Elizabeth Crumley, who provided much joy for her in life.


A memorial service will be held Monday, May 14 at 2:00 p.m. at the Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32211. There will be a visitation before the service from 1:00-2:00.
