IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Julieta Maria
Bejarano
September 6, 1927 – February 1, 2022
Julieta M. Bejarano, 94, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2022 at the McGraw Center for Caring in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born on September 6, 1927 in Cartago, Costa Rica, the daughter of Rafael Angel Orozco and Clara Rosa Campos, sibling to seven other children. Julieta worked in Costa Rica as a dental hygienist and a social worker. At 28 years of age she married Jorge Bejarano and the couple gave birth to three children: Lelieth, George, and Patricia. The family eventually migrated to the United States in pursuit of a better life for their young children.
Julieta was a marvelous homemaker at their New York house until the early 1990s, when she moved to Jacksonville, Florida to be near relatives following the untimely passing of her husband. She lived her life to the fullest, always compassionate and caring to her many friends and relatives. With her warm smile and gentle loving way, Julieta was like a mother to so many. She loved to travel, and enjoyed listening to music. She was an excellent cook and expressed her love through food. Julieta is perhaps best known for being a most wonderful and amorous mother and grandmother to Juliana, Erica, and Jasmine.
In addition to her parents, and several siblings, she was also preceded in death by her son, George Martin Bejarano. Julieta is survived by Lelieth, Joe and Patricia Draude, Doug and Juliana Hale, Erica, and Jasmine.
Julieta's ceremony of life will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022, at Arlington Park Funeral Home from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Additionally, a funeral Mass will be celebrated at Christ the King Catholic Church the following day at 10:15am. Interment will follow at the Arlington Park Cemetery.
