Obituary of June Arnold

June D. Arnold, 75, entered into rest on May 8, 2013 in Jacksonville, Florida. She is remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was born on June 18, 1937 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Percy LaPage and Alma Kearce. She relocated with her mother to Jacksonville as a young child. She married her late husband, Floyd Newton and they had five children. She enjoyed being surrounded by her family and was well known for her cooking. There are many laughs amongst the family with her ability to try and pass on her family recipes. However, they are really going to miss her Christmas cookies, which will never be the same. She was an avid collector of salt and pepper shakers. June also was given the gift of having many green thumbs and loved watching the birds come to the feeders. She was an amazing lady who never forgot a birthday or anniversary. June loved to fish and enjoyed being outdoors. She was blessed with many talents, including ceramics of which she adored pouring and painting the American Indian theme, sewing, macram, caring, sharing and above all her ability to love unconditionally. She is preceded in death by her second husband, Norman A. Norton; daughter, Barbara Harper. She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of twelve years, Larry B. Arnold, Sr.; children, Glenn (Marie) Newton, Lauren Dehner, Ronnie (Stacy) Newton and Kathy (Bob) Murphy; stepchildren, Larry B. (Jayne) Arnold, Jr., Judy Arnold, Linda (Scott) Fugget, Dolly (Aaron) Winters and Kim Lindsey; 25 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and many friends. Family will receive friends on Saturday, May 11, 2013 from 10-11am at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida. Her funeral will commence at 11. Her burial will follow in Arlington Park Cemetery.
