Obituary of Katharina Meyer

Katharina Engler Meyer, 90, entered into rest on January 1, 2011 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born on May 6, 1920 in Fustpetershuette, now Piotrowo, Poland to Gustav and Hulda Engler. She married Frank J. Meyer in 1954 and she had been a longtime resident of Jacksonville for almost 50 years. She enjoyed raising Yorkshire Terriers and was known for making her own fine clothing. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Frank J. Meyer and six of her seven brothers. She is survived by her youngest brother, Georg Engler of Rathenow, Germany; her nieces, Margit Sohla, Kaethe Engler, Erika McLean, and Martina Engler-Smith; her nephew, Hans Engler; and many loving friends. Her funeral service will be held on January 7, 2011 in the chapel of Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL, at 2:00 with Reverend Jim Black officiating. Interment will follow immediately in Arlington Park Cemetery.
