Kathleen (Katie) Michelle Dupree was born on June 4, 1981, in Jacksonville, FL to parents John Michael Lee and Dawn Kay Lee. Katie played the clarinet in the marching band and was a graduate from Terry Parker High School. Later, Katie found her true calling and passion in life by being a dedicated mother to her four children. Katie unexpectedly passed away in her home on Friday, December 29th, 2023, at the early age of 42.
Katie is survived by her loving husband of 15 years, Otis Dupree; 2 daughters, Brianna Dupree, Chloe Dupree; 2 sons, Lucas Dupree, Liam Dupree. She will be forever remembered by her mother, Dawn Lee; Stepmother, Cammy Lee; Mother-in-law, Angela Dupree; 6 brothers, Matt Lee (Jennifer), David Lee (Christina), Jason Lee (Jeanine), Phillip Lee (Samantha), Clayton Lee, and Tyler Lee; 2 sisters, Christina Coleman, Brittany Wright (Dominick); sister-in-law, Marsha Butler; sister-in-law, Colleen Lee. Katie will also be missed dearly by her nieces and nephews, Shayne Lee, Casey Lee, Amber Lee, Devin Lee, Lanah Lee, Mckayla Lee, Remington Lee, Wyatt Lee, Jordyn Butler, Addison Lee, Kendrick Wright, and Jayden Lee.
Katie is predeceased by her father, John Lee; Stepfather, James Lee; Aunt, Cheryl Smith; Maternal Grandparents, Paul and Sandra Geist; and Paternal Grandparents, Ralph and Martha Harris, all of whom will surely greet her at Heaven's gates.
Katie will be forever thought of as a deeply passionate, strong-willed, opinionated, and outspoken person. Most importantly, she will be remembered as loving, caring, and generous. Anyone she met has been touched in a unique way that will be recollected for a lifetime. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her and will forever be held in our hearts as a caring daughter, a loving wife and mother, a loyal sister, and an incredibly beautiful soul.
