Obituary of Kathleen Hood

Kathleen Mary Hood, age 86, passed away on August 3, 2008 in Jacksonville Beach, FL. She was born in Montreal, Canada. In 1945, she married George J. Gushue and moved to the United States. She was a resident of Panama City Beach, FL for the past 20 years. She enjoyed a career in education, working at Red Bank Regional High School in Red Bank, NJ as Administrative Assistant to the Board Secretary, until her retirement in 1987. After moving to Panama City Beach, she joined the hospital auxiliary working as a volunteer until this past May. She was an active member of St. Bernadette's Roman Catholic Church in Panama City Beach. She is survived by her two daughters, Elizabeth Gilmore and her husband Steve Gilmore of Jacksonville, FL and Kathleen Gushue of Wallkill, NY., and three grandchildren, Jessica Flynn of Baltimore, MD, Elizabeth Beil of San Francisco, CA and Kurt Thum of Red Bank, NJ.
