Kathleen Mayhugh, a cherished soul whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026, at St. Vincent’s Ascension Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on July 28, 1942, in West Chester County, Pennsylvania, Kathy was a beacon of love, laughter, and compassion whose strength and generosity left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

Kathy was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 50 years, Tommy Mayhugh. Together, they built a life rooted in love, faith, and unwavering dedication after exchanging vows on August 12, 1961, in Jacksonville, Florida. She now joins him in eternal peace.

A proud member of Englewood High School’s inaugural graduating class of 1961, Kathy went on to enjoy a fulfilling career as a medical transcriptionist at St. Vincent’s Hospital, where her dedication, professionalism, and attention to detail earned the respect of her colleagues until her retirement.

Kathy was a faithful member of Calvin Presbyterian Church, where she served on the Building and Grounds Committee and in numerous other roles. Her church family brought her immense joy, and her faith remained a guiding force throughout her life.

She found happiness in simple pleasures—family camping trips, gardening, and spending time outdoors in the warm sunshine she loved so much. Kathy was also one of the most enthusiastic supporters of her sons’ baseball activities, attending countless games with pride and encouragement.

Known for her remarkable sense of humor and welcoming spirit, Kathy made everyone feel at home. She was deeply involved in her children’s education, often volunteering as a chaperone for school trips, and her home was always filled with kindness, laughter, and love.

Kathy leaves behind her beloved sons, Scott, Brian, and Philip; her grandchildren, Erin, Rebecca, Brandon, Sarah, Brooke, Taylor, and Michael; and her great-grandchildren, Brayden, Rowan, and Harley. She also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who were blessed to know and love her.

In addition to her husband, Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Kenneth Wilson, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Though she is no longer with us, Kathy’s love, faith, and gentle spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
