Kathryn Lott Cavoores of Jacksonville, FL passed away on Sunday March 24, 2019. She was 71. Kathryn was born on April 18, 1947 in Coral Gables, Florida to Lawrence Everett (9/12/1926 ~ 11/18/1983) and Marie Ada (Berry) Lott (9/12/1927 ~ 2/19/2014). She was one of eight children; Charles Lott (2/17/1943 ~ 3/4/2004), Douglas Lott, Charlotte Lott, Ada Williamson, Wesley Lott (11/11/1957 ~ 2/21/1999), Susan Layton and William Lott.

Kathryn's faith was the primary focus of her life. She received her Master's Degree in Ministry from the Jacksonville Theological Seminary on May 27, 1990. She started two shelters for abused children, foster parented more than a hundred children and helped establish several new churches. She participated in prison ministry, street outreach, intercessory prayer groups and mission trips. She touched many people throughout her years in the ministry.

As well as having a Heart for God, she was the Heart of her family. She is survived by her children; Gina and Scott Crumpler, Darcie Hayes, Becky and Jose Neu, and Debra and Kevin Taylor and eleven grandchildren; Carina Neu, Sophie Neu, Anthony Neu, Kelsee Hayes, Emma Neu, Makinah Hayes, Dillon Crumpler, Brayden Taylor, David Hayes, Zachary Taylor and Lucas Neu.

Kathryn was well loved by both her family and her friends. She loved to have fun, joke around, and tell funny stories. She was often thought of as the life of the party. Kathryn loved to spend time with her grandchildren. In an effort to build great memories with her grandchildren, she would often set aside time for having fun. She would call that time "Grammy Day." Those days bring great memories to her grandchildren to this day.

Aside from her family time, Kathryn had many hobbies, one of which was painting. She was an avid painter throughout her life and she left us with a number of great paintings to carry on her memory.  She left us with a legacy of love and faith to her family and to those that knew her. She will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Thursday March 28th at the River City Baptist Church, 6801 Merrill Rd, Jacksonville, Florida 32277.  Pastor Bryan Samms will be officiating.  Visitation will be from noon until the time of the funeral at the church.  Interment will be in the Arlington Park Cemetery, 6921 Lone Star Rd, Jacksonville following the service.  Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Arlington Park Funeral Home, (904) 724-6384.
