Kenneth Roy Kirton III of Jacksonville, FL entered the loving embrace of his Heavenly Father on September 5th, 2026.

Born on May 5th, 1989, Ken was known for loving life and loving the people in it even more. He was the kind of guy who made you feel like his best friend after a single conversation. His unique ability to connect with others made him the heartbeat of every gathering.

Ken’s position in the Kirton family gave him the chance to not only be shaped by the wisdom and shenanigans of his older brothers, Parker and Perry, but to also be a doting and protective older brother to Terry, Kimmie, and Spencer. Affectionately known as Kenny Koo Koo, his love for family extended well beyond his siblings. Ken made time to connect with aunts, uncles, cousins, and, most of all, his nieces and nephews.

Uncle Ken was more than just a FUN‑cle—he was a legend. The moment he entered a room, the kids squealed with joy. With one child on his shoulders and others climbing his arms and legs, the light in his eyes shone even brighter. Whether giving expert fishing advice, playing practical jokes, or gifting the silliest surprises, Uncle Ken knew exactly how to make his nieces and nephews feel like they were the center of his world.

Ken’s gift for connecting with others reached far beyond family. Earning the honor of Angie’s Subs Customer of the Year in 2007 became a springboard for the persona many of us knew as Hollywood Ken. Not only did Ken know just about everyone in the greater Jacksonville area—many of them called him a best friend. You could find him offshore catching game fish, on the golf course with a cigar in one hand and a club in the other, or tailgating at EverBank Field preparing to cheer on the Jaguars.

When Ken wasn’t out and about spreading his charm, you could find him behind the bar at the Pier. He ran a tight ship, but not without a little mischief. He made coworkers and patrons feel like family, and seeing Ken on a night out always meant the night was about to get better. From themed parties to unforgettable adventures, Ken’s greatest mission in life was creating meaningful, unforgettable moments with the people he loved most.

Ken is predeceased by his mother, Anne Vonderau Perry, and his brother Perry. He is survived by his parents, Ken and AnnDee; his brothers and sisters, Parker, Terry (niece, Owen), Kimberly (niece, Charlotte), and Spencer; his sister‑in‑law, Anna (nephews, Hampton and Clayton; niece, Bristol); and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The world will be a little quieter without Ken’s boisterous, heartwarming laugh now that he has joined his brother Perry in heaven. While we know they are home with the Lord, may we also allow ourselves a quiet chuckle imagining the trouble the two of them might already be stirring up.

Arrangements were made with Arlington Park Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the Neptune Beach Baptist Church (Fellowship Hall) (407 3rd St, Neptune Beach, FL 32266) with a funeral service to follow at 11. A procession to Arlington Park Cemetery (6920 Lone Star Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32211) for a graveside service burial will immediately follow services.
