Kester Martin Reeder, Jr. (85) of Jacksonville, Florida went home to be with the Lord June 7, 2020, at Memorial Hospital.  Martin was born in Jacksonville, Florida in the Gilmore area on December 27, 1934 to the late K.M Reeder Sr. and Violet Torkelson. He graduated from Landon High School. After High School he joined the Navy. He traveled the world to Japan, Guam and other countries. After getting out of the Navy he took classes to advance his career in computer programming and operations. Prudential Insurance is where he began his career in computer operations.  He was employed with Prudential for 37 years until his retirement in 1991.  Martin was a member of the First Baptist Church since 1961 and has faithfully served the Lord in many roles from group leader, deacon, and most recently an usher.  He enjoyed golfing, traveling, gardening, and family.  He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Bobbie Carol Durham Reeder. Daughter Melanie Reeder Dixon, son-in-law Doug Dixon of Jacksonville, Florida, Grandsons Hunter Palecek and Fisher Palecek of Jacksonville, Florida and Granddaughter Ashley Dixon of Jacksonville, Florida.
