Larry McLaughlin, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend went home to God on Friday, October 5th, 2018 after bravely fighting a lengthy illness.

Larry was born on September 12, 1938 in Lafayette, Indiana; son of Mabel Lancaster and stepson of Sola, Lancaster.  He migrated to Jacksonville in the late 50's while serving in the U.S. Navy.

He is predeceased by his beautiful and loving wife of 59 years, Avis; sisters, Patricia (William) Houmard, Delores "Kay" (David) Paxton and Sandra Sue McLaughlin.

Left to carry on his legacy are his children Lynnelle (James) Kaiser of San Antonio, TX and Brian McLaughlin (Shannon) of Jacksonville; grand-children, Rodger (Trish), Kristen (Joseph), Tymothy, Lilith, and Miles; sisters, Beverly Cullum an Mary Houmard, as well as many great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held in the near future.
