Obituary of Lawrence Motley
Mr. Lawrence Thomas Motley Sr., 79, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2012.
Lawrence Thomas Motley, Sr., "Larry", was born in Florida to Robert and Jane. He had 4 siblings; Irene, Marie, Bruce and Teenie. After graduation from high school he joined the US Naval Services. Soon after finishing his tour of duty he married his sweetheart, Mary Ann. They celebrated 58 wonderful years together. Larry made his career in the electric motor industry, eventually owning his own business.
He enjoyed the arrival of his six children; Tom, Michael, Jeanette, Carol, Donna and Tina. His children, twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren gave him great happiness throughout his life.
Larry enjoyed science, reading, traveling, camping, genealogy, dogs, nature, chess, comic strips, history, sports and intellectual pursuits among many other things.
He was a very generous man who loved to help others. He was the rock of his family and admired by many.
