Obituary

Lawrence Monroe Verner was born September 6, 1931, in Worth County, Georgia to the late Florence Lola Champion Verner and Clarence Leroy Verner. Lawrence passed away peacefully on Saturday August 8, 2020 at the age of 88. He lived a long and fulfilling life.
In addition to his parents, Lawrence is predeceased by his loving wife, Jean Andrews Verner. They were married for an amazing total of 65 years until she passed away in 2014.
Lawrence is survived by his daughter, Suzan L. Verner of Jacksonville, FL; his sister, Linda Verner/Weil of Georgia; his nieces & nephews, Brenna, Becky, Bayne, & Blake, all of Georgia; 5 Great nieces & nephews; and 4 Great-Grand nieces & nephews.
Lawrence graduated from Albany H.S. in Albany, GA.
He served in U.S. Navy.
He was a member of Arlington Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL.
And very importantly, Lawrence was a carpenter all of his life. He & his father even built a house in the early '60's. Lawrence was a longstanding member of the Carpenter Union 627 local to Jacksonville, FL.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Arlington Park Funeral Home.
