Obituary of Leland Wilson

Leland Augustus Wilson, 73, passed on after a brief and unexpected illness. He was a retired business executive and an Army Lieutenant Colonel. He hailed from Newberry, SC., attended Newberry High School and graduated with honors from the Citadel as a 2nd Lieutenant.

He spent his productive work years with the Clinchfield, Atlantic Coastline and CSX Railroads; completing his career as Mechanical Director/ Intermodal services.

Mr. Wilson is survived by his only daughter Deborah Ann Wilson and husband Jeffrey E. Kujala; two grandsons Steven Lee Matthews and wife Jennifer Matthews and Daniel Alan Matthews; his brother Randolph Lee Wilson and wife Kathleen Wilson; his nephew Martin Wilson and wife Hope Wilson with their child Courtney Wilson; his step-son Santos Reda and wife Sandra and the youngest grandson Andrew. Ricks steadfast strength, reliability and love will be missed by all of us as he begins a new and magnificent life with our Lord. He will be forever loved and forever missed.
