Lemuel Earl "Hoppy" Forshee was born on November 30, 1952, to the late James Edward Forshee and Edith David. He attended Matthew W. Gilbert and William M. Raines High School and shortly thereafter honorably enlisted in the United States Navy as a Seaman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Patricia Gibson, and his brother James Forshee.

Lemuel is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Vivian Forshee; his children, Corey Forshee, Qiana Forshee, Juaacklyn Stevenson (John),Immanuel Forshee (Shelly), Gabriel Forshee (Traycetta), and Joel Forshee; and his 12 grandchidren - Ayana, Zamirah, Jeremiah, Bishop, Jamiah, Edward, Jaeda, Elisha, Gavin, Erianna, True, and Grayson.

He also leaves his memories to his brother, Kenneth Forshee, his sister, Terri Lynn Robinson, his brother-in-law, Robert Gibson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
