Leonard Augustus (Gus) Hayden born 12/24/42 passed away unexpectedly October 12, 2018.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sandra J. Hayden and his sister Julia Cecil. He is also survived by sons Jimmy, Bobby (wife Marianne), Kenny, and daughter Kristen (grandchildren Hannah and Josh). He was a beloved father, husband, papa, uncle, and brother.

He raised his 3 sons with his wife in Louisville Kentucky. He put his sons through Catholic school working at L&N railroad. In his spare time in Louisville he coached football and track in the Catholic gradeschool program. He also was a weight lifter and body builder. He won the 1974 Mr. Louisville Kentucky physique contest. He also placed 2nd in Mr. Kentucky physique 1975.

After his company L&N moved tax locations to Jacksonville Fl in 1980, he continued to make sacrifices and raise his kids in Catholic education, including a new daughter, Kristen, born in 1982.  He also was helpful in continuing that with his grand kids (Hannah and Josh).
