Lettie O'Neal Ray, 94, passed away peacefully at home June 15, 2023.

She was born on August 27, 1928 in Glennville, Georgia where she was raised on the family farm. She later moved to Jacksonville to attend Jones College.

Lettie was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years Marcus C. Ray. She is survived by her three children Debbie Ray Davidson, Sherry Ray Wood (John), and Ronnie Ray; four grandchildren Lauren Weaver (Chris), Bridgham Hazlegrove (Ben), Hudson Wood and Ben Davidson; two great-grandchildren Lucy Hazlegrove and Reese Weaver, and many dear nieces, nephews, and cousins. A special recognition to Anne Zamm for her years of friendship and loving caregiving to Lettie.

Lettie was a faithful Christian and a founding and active member of Forest Boulevard Baptist Church.
A private family burial will be held Tuesday, July 25th, at Arlington Park Cemetery. Following the service, family and friends are invited to a celebration of life at the Jacksonville Golf & Country Clubhouse from 12:30 to 3:00pm.
