Lois Marie Davenport, 81, born November 28, 1935 to William Warren and Eula Mae Taylor Warren in Robersonville, North Carolina passed away February 6, 2017 in Jacksonville, Florida. Lois was a long time member of Oakwood Villa Church of God of Prophecy. As a dedicated member, she was a Sunday School and Children's Church teacher as well as the church bookkeeper. Lois loved to sew. She made clothes for years for her daughter, grand children and friends. The very first dress she made was for her daughter and was sewn by hand. She worked for many years at the Remnant Shop on Atlantic Blvd and Soloman's store at the corner of Art Museum Drive and Atlantic Blvd. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; an older brother, Earl Warren, 2 younger brothers, Paul Warren, Calvin Warren; her husband of 20 years, John H. Davenport; and her favorite aunt, Effie Taylor James. She is survived by daughter, Deborah L. Baker (William); grand daughter, Lisa Baker (Richard), Theresa Jenkins (Duane), God daughter, Valerie Dunn (Greg). God grand daughter, Rhonda Nelson (Frankie), God grand son, Brian Dunn; God great grand daughter, Kaysey Douglass; sisters, Louise Blake, Jamie Prewer; brothers, Ben Warren, Kenneth Warren (Faye), Marvin Warren (Judy); Chihuahuas, Adrien, Jake, a host of friends, relatives including many nieces, nephews and cousins. The Davenport family will receive friends for a Visitation Gathering, 5 PM - 7 PM, Monday, February 13, 2017 at the funeral home. A Graveside Blessing will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Arlington Park Cemetery, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211, with Bishop Charles Tucker officiating.
