Obituary of Louise Kohl
Louise Kohl of Cypress Village, Jacksonville FL passed away on September 4. Louise was born Louise Adeline Price to Maurice Price and the former Florence Fritz on August 19, 1923 in Bethlehem, PA. She was one of four children, a sister, Doris and brothers Maurice and Thomas. She graduated from Lehigh High School in Bethlehem, Pa. She married Clyde B. Kohl of Bethlehem, PA. in 1947. Louise and Clyde moved to Emporium, Pa in 1952 following Clyde's graduation from college, where they both worked at Sylvania Electric. In 1964, Louise, Clyde and family moved to Winchester, KY where she began working in the office, at the then new Clark County Hospital. Louise became involved in the Newcomers Club, Lioness Club, and Sadie McCormick Circle of the First United Methodist Church. Louise retired from the Clark County Hospital. Bridge, golf and traveling were her favorite passtimes. In 2010, Louise and Clyde moved to Jacksonville, FL. to be closer to their children. After Clyde's passing in 2011, Louise's health declined. She is survived by her brothers and her children, Valerie Hunt (Thomas), Lorie Harlow, and Jeffrey Kohl, all of Jacksonville, 4 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. The funeral will be Saturday, September 8 at 11:30 am with visitation at 10:30 until the hour of service at the First United Methodist Church, 289 South Main St, Winchester.
