Obituary of Louise Thrower

Louise Beks Thrower of Fruit Cove, Florida, born March 2, 1938, will forever be dearly missed after her unforeseen passing on June 3, 2011. Louise was a former English teacher at Terry Parker High School, a wonderful mother, loving housewife, and staunch activist in the preservation of her cherished St. Johns County. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 45 years, William T. Thrower Jr., her son William B. Thrower, her daughter and son in law Louise Thrower Standard and Wayne T. Standard, and beloved grandchildren Emily M. Thrower, Rita M. Thrower, and William J. Thrower. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hendrik and Merle Beks; and brother, Henry. Visitation will be held at Arlington Park Cemetery and Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road (904-724-6384) from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday, June 9, 2011. Graveside service will be at 11 AM on Friday, June 10, 2011, at the cemetery, officiated by Father Thanh Thai Nguyen of Christ the King Catholic Church.
