Obituary of Lowery Johnson

Lowery Elmer Johnson, 75, entered into rest on February 7, 2011. He is remembered as loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era and retired as a Chief. He then spent many years working for St. Regis/Georgia Pacific Box Co., having retired from there as well and then went on to work for Bumper to Bumper. He is predeceased by his wife of many wonderful years, Betty Johnson. He leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Renee Fries (Lee), Robert Johnson (Cindy), and Vernon Johnson (Shelley); grandchildren, A.J., Nicole, Morgan, Thomas, Elizabeth, and Sean Johnson; sisters, Emily Johnson Smith and Rebekah Johnson Overstreet; numerous nieces and nephews and many treasured friends. Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 10, 2011 (TODAY) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL. His funeral service will be held on Friday, February 11, 2011 at 3 p.m. at Glynlea Grace Methodist Church, 6429 Atlantic Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL with interment to follow in Arlington Park Cemetery.
