Obituary of Lucille Sword
Lucille L. Sword, 88, born May 26, 1924 in Matewan, West Virginia to Seymour and Nellie Blackburn, passed away March 21, 2013 in Jacksonville, Florida. Lucille was a true "Matriarch" of the family. She will be greatly missed. She was predeceased by both parents. Lucille is survived by daughters, Lynda Joyner, Sharon Seagroves (Danny) ; grandchildren, Tammy Holt, Tim Hixson (Mary), Michelle Ross (Michael), Jamie Joyner (LaShanta), Chris Sloope (Nicole), Adam Sloope (Julia), Ashley Keenan (Josh); great grandchildren, Roosevelt Brown, III, Devin Reed, Isaiah Reed, Timothy McQueen, Ikeya Joyner, Jayme Joyner, Savannah Holt, Parker Holt, Faith Sloope, LucyGrace Sloope, a great-great grandchild, Layla Brown; sisters, Paula Hardin, Juanita Epling, Omalee Aders, Kaye Gooslin; aunt, Della Griffey and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm, Sunday, March 24, 2013 at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life will be held 1 pm, Monday, March 25, 2013 in the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Stephen Wolgamott officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Arlington Park Cemetery.
