Luis Manuel Gaona, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020. He was 67. Luis was born December 10, 1952 in Jacksonville, Florida, the son of Luis Garcia and Mary Lou (Waters) Gaona.

Luis Loved to spend time with family and friends and going to the library. Luis attended St.John's Episcopal Cathedral at 256 East Church Street, Jacksonville, Florida.

Luis is survived by sisters Mrs. Christine Childe (Mel) and Sarah Gaona (Harvey Bruton); brother, David C. Gaona (Barbara); great aunt, Petra Hammerstrong, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and his best friend Demetrius Shepherd.

Luis was preceded in death by his father, Luis A. Garcia Gaona, aunt Liana Diamond; half sisters, Porsha Dyal and Latreal Quiambao.

Cremation has taken place and Luis will be interred at the Jacksonville National Cemetery in the near future. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Rd, Jacksonville, Florida 32211- (904) 724-6384.
