Obituary of Mabel Privette

Mabel McManus Privette, 83, passed away Friday morning, November 16, 2007. She is remembered as a loving wife and devoted mother and grandmother. She was blessed with the gift of service to her children, husband, mother and grandchildren. She was the wife of the late Russell M. Privette (65 Years). Mabel was born on April 13, 1924 in Richmond County, NC, the daughter of the late Lee Roy McManus and Carrie Thompson. She is survived by her sister Doris Cox of Sanford, NC. She was a dedicated homemaker. She was a sales associate in the ladies wear department of JC Penney Company from 1965 to 1975. Her family fondly remembers the delicious meals around her table. She faithfully attended her grand- children's church, school and sports activities. She was a member of Parkwood Baptist Church Mabel is survived by children, Jerry Privette (Ruth) and Ann Dunn (Bruce). She was "Nana" to her four grandchildren; David Privette, Carrie Privette Clark, Luther Dunn and Clint Dunn, and two great-grandchildren; Isaiah and Olivia Dunn.
