Obituary of Madge Zehring

Madge Esther Zehring will be lovingly remembered during a memorial service at 1:30 pm Wednesday, November 21st at Taylor Home, 3937 Spring Park Rd. Reception will follow, In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Taylor Home or Mandarin United Methodist Church. On November 13th Madge, known at Taylor as "Teacup", and to many of her children's friends as Mom, passed from us into God's ever strong and loving arms. She was being held in the arms of her daughter, Carol and son, Richard as she left us. Madge was born on August 13, 1920 in Toledo, Ohio. She was a 1939 graduate of Scott High School in Toledo. She was a licensed practical nurse at Toledo Hospital and Flower Hospital in Toledo at All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg. Madge also cared for others as a private duty nurse in St. Petersburg. As Mom and Granny, she took special love and interest of the lives of her children and grandchildren, their education, friends and most importantly, their future. Her legacy will shine through their lives. Madge loved and believed in her family from beginning to end and made them feel the goodness of life in every moment and circumstance. She knew every corner of their hearts, and was a true example in a world of few. She always gave her full measure of love and compassion to everyone that she came in contact with; and now God will give her those as she rests forever in his care. She is preceded in her return to God by her son, Lyle Gurich and brothers, Dave and Bob Cox. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Carol (Butch) Boone-Bentley; son, Richard (Anita) Simon; grandchildren, Ronnie (Kim), Brittany, Richard, II, and Brandon; great grandchildren, Kayleigh and Aubrey; sisters, Kay and Faith; and numerous nephews, nieces and friends. We will not say goodbye to you precious one, but God be with you until the day we meet again. As the sun's rays peek through the clouds in the sky, we will just need to be still and know you are there.
