Obituary of Mae Burt

Mae Etta Burt, 88, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2007. She is remembered as a loving wife, devoted aunt, and sister. She was born on February 9, 1919 in Lexington, Georgia, to the late William and Della Steele. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Claude Parks Burt and numerous sisters and brothers. She was a long time member of Saint Paul United Methodist Church. She had a long time career with John H. Swisher, spanning 50 years. Mae is survived by her sister, Sadie S. Cox, and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Monday, August 6, 2007 for visitation from 6-8p.m, and a graveside service on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in Evergreen Cemetery.
