Marcus Hogan Bowering, age 56, son of Melford Hogan "Buddy" Bowering and Barbara Fillingane Bowering was born, November 25,1960 in Jackson, Mississippi passed away October 30, 2017 at his residence in Jacksonville, Florida.

Marcus graduated from Wingfield High School in Jackson, MS before joining the United States Marine Corp at the young age of 17. He met his beloved Joyce in the Military and they married in February of 1982. Soon after they wed they began their family with the birth of their daughter Jessica on December 31,1982. Marcus and his family lived in California, New York and Louisiana before making their home of 30 years in Jacksonville, Florida. Marcus and his family loved the beach, snorkeling and boating.

Marcus was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Helmer Bowering and his father Melford Hogan "Buddy" Bowering.

He is survived by his daughter Jessica Lynn Bowering (Kevin Vaughn); his grandson Kannon Bowering Vaughn, his loving mother Barbara Fillingane Bowering; his brother Melford Claude "Butch" Bowering (Tina),his sister Leah Candace "Candy" Landry (Gary) and his niece Lauren Courtney Landry.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
