Obituary of Marian Bolam

Marian Droney Bolam, 82, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2009. She is remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother and caring friend to all who knew her. Marian was born on June 18, 1926 in Lakeland, Florida, to the late James and Eva Droney.

She is preceded in death by John R. Bolam, her loving husband of 53 wonderful years of marriage and her sister Jane Welling.

Marian is remembered for her volunteer work for hospitals, churches and most recently, the Pinewood Mercy Ministry. She lived for many years in Ft. Pierce, Florida where she worked as a taxpayer consultant and a Pink Lady. She loved the beach and enjoyed traveling often with her husband. Marian was an avid reader and won awards for her knitting and crochet work.

Marian is survived by her daughter Marcia (Thomas Jr.) Spillane of Manassas Park, VA; son David (Shawne) Bolam of Orange Park, FL; Daughter Kathleen (Brian) Moss of Ponte Vedra Bch, FL; grandchildren Timothy, Kelsey, Kendall, Ian, Heather, Haley, Alexander, Derek; sister Janet Bauer and many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, for a visitation on Thursday, January 29, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel and a funeral service on Friday, January 30, 2009, in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow.
