Obituary of Marie Hempel

Marie Madeline Freund Hempel passed away May 26, 2007. She was married 59 years to her loving husband, Arnold Stanley Hempel who preceded her in death. She was a faithful and active member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, including the Hope Circle, Arlington Shrine Club, and Extension Homemakers. During WWII, Madeline served as a Civil Defense Worker and Red Cross Worker. She was also an active member of the Terry Parker High School Band Booster. Madeline was preceded in death by her brother, William H. Freund, Tucson, AZ and daughter-in-law, Jewell Hempel, Jax, FL. She is survived by her sons, Bruce Hempel, Jax., FL, and Dwight Hempel (Judi), Fairfax, VA; grandson, John A. Hempel, Sr. (Maria); great grandson, John A. Hempel, II.
