Marie Lowery, 69, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed on November 25, 2022. Marie was born on April 01, 1953 to Salvador & Maria Colon in New York. She was the youngest of 4 siblings. Marie attended Mother Cabrini High School in New York and then moved to Florida to attend the University of Florida, where she received her bachelor's degree. Marie then attended the University of Miami in pursuit of her Masters Degree. Marie spent 30 plus years in the field of special education and communication disorders and taught in New Jersey, North Carolina, and Florida.

Marie married her beloved husband, William "Bill" Lowery in July of 1983 and had 39 beautiful years of marriage. Together they raised 3 wonderful children, Bill Jr., Christina, and Scott. Marie was very active in her home church of East Pointe and also taught as an adjunct professor at Florida State College of Jacksonville.

Marie is survived by her loving husband Bill, her children Bill Jr and his wife Shonna, Christina, and Scott and his wife Tori, brother, Edwin Colon, grandchildren William and his wife Scarlett, Jonathan, Caden and great granddaughter, Penelope. Marie was a true light and lived her life full of love for her Heavenly Father, her family, and people. She truly touched every person she met in a special way and her beautiful spirit and loving heart will be deeply missed. Her legacy will truly never be forgotten.

Services for Marie Lowery will be on Saturday, December 10th, 2022 at East Pointe Baptist Church 270 Kernan Blvd North Jacksonville, Florida 32225. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00am and Funeral Service will be at 11:00am. A graveside service will follow at Arlington Park Funeral Home 6920 Lone Star Road Jacksonville, Florida 32211
