Marion, F. Pylant, 92, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away Sunday, November 24, 2024.  He was born in Stone Mountain, Georgia, but moved to Jacksonville as a young boy.  Growing up in Florida encouraged his love of the outdoors.  Marion enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a woodworker.  He also loved music - and had a talent to play.  He brought many smiles by playing his guitar and harmonica.  Marion was proud of his service in the United States Army and his work with the military police protecting the Mayport Naval Station.

Marion is preceded in death by Peggy Judd, Pansie "Georgia" Pylant; loving wife, Elsie Pylant; parents, James Samuel Pylant Sr. and Annie D Saine; and son, Franklin Pylant.  He is survived by his 2 daughter, Dianna Lacayo and MaryAnne Coleman; sister, Betty Eddenfield; 4 grandchildren, Michelle Lacayo, Peggy Ratner, Frank Coleman and Roux Lacayo; 3 great grandchildren, Nicholas, Madison, and AJ; a loving niece, Alice Malin; and other extended family and friends.

There will be a visitation on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at 11:30AM at Arlington Funeral Home located at 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211.  Services will begin at the funeral home at noon.  Interment will immediately follow at Arlington Memorial Park.
