Obituary of Marjylin Coleman

Marjylin Sweat Coleman, 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 9, 2012. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and caring friend to all who knew her. Marjylin was born on December 7, 1925 to the late Charlie and Flossie Sweat. She is preceded in death by her loving husband John Coleman Sr.; son Ronald Higginbotham; brothers C. Gregory Sweat, James F. Sweat and William E. Sweat. She loved her Lord and family dearly as well as her church family at Riverside Primitive Baptist Church. Marjylin retired from Independent Life Insurance Company after 15 years of service. She is survived by her daughters Carol J. Strickland and Marilyn (Ray) Prevatt; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and her loving extended family. Family will receive friends at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, for a visitation on Thursday, June 14, 2012 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 15, 2012 at 11:00am. Interment will follow.
