Obituary of Marlin Padgett

Marlin E. Padgett, 76, passed away on December 15, 2009. He is remembered as a loving husband, supportive father, doting grandfather, and good friend. He is preceded in death by his wife of nearly 56 wonderful years, Marlene Neely Padgett; brothers, Raymond and Leroy Padgett and sister, Emma Padgett. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, David C. Padgett (Kim) of Atlanta, GA; and Barbara Padgett of Jacksonville, FL; grandson, Ben Padgett; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Mr. Padgett will be laid to rest in Chapel Hills Memory Gardens with private family service. The family is hosting a luncheon on Monday, December 21, 2009 from 1-3:00 pm at the Golden Corral located at 9070 Merrill Road. Friends are invited to come and fellowship in remembrance of Marlin. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ft. Caroline Presbyterian Church, 3754 University Club Blvd 32277.
