Obituary of Marquisha Phillips
Marquisha Jean "Red" Phillips,
Entered into the presence of our Lord God on May 31,2015. Marquisha was born on August 8,1974. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior later in life. Marquisha received her education through the Duval County Public School System. She was a very hard worker being employed at Krystals, Swisher lnternational, as well as Crowley's as an lndependent Contractor for many years. Before her passing she was employed with Coastal Cab Services. Marquisha precedes in death, a son Alex Sanders, parents Alex Sneed & Lisa K. Phillips and Grandmother Elouise Phillips.
Marquisha was a mother not only to her own children. She was a mother to every child she came in contact with. She felt every child had their own story & needed someone to listen to them. She was that person who listened. She loved children desiring to open a group home, for kids who felt unloved or wanted.
Marquisha was very passionate about those whom she called Friend. She considered them Family. She was apart of a very special group of lady's who called themselves
"The Ladies of Success.
Marquisha leaves to cherish her memory: son's: Louis & Darnell Littles; grandkids: Mi'Quan Sanders, Jaiden & Jai'Taylor Glover; godson: Chris Jones; grandparents: James A. Phillips, John & Ura Manning; aunts: Catherine Phillips-Earl, Melissa Bevel, Lynda Barnett, Lynda Bryant (Tony), April Sneed, Marion Jones, Veronica Lewis, Chicaquita Sneed, Detra Lewis; uncles: Dave Barnett, James Sneed (Nlta); cousin's: Janice Lang, Callie Lang-Mangram (lsaac), Joe Lang, Anthony & Carri Pearson and a Host of other cousins. Also a Very Special Friend J. Pickney as well as many Devoted friends.
A Celebration of Life will begin 11PM, Saturday, June 13, 2015 At Edgewood Cemetery 4519 Edgewood Drive Jacksonville, FL 32219 with Pastor Trey Wright and Pastor Earnest Lane officiating.
