Obituary of Marvin Lyell

Marvin L. Lyell, 93 of St. Augustine, Fl, passed away at Moultrie Creek Nursing Home. Mr. Lyell was born June 22, 1915 in Lauderdale County, TN. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He moved to Pensacola, Florida in 1948 and retired from U.S. Civil Service at NAS Pensacola after 30 years of service. He moved to Jacksonville in 1989 where he was a member of Arlington Assembly of God. He has been a resident of St. Augustine since 2003.

Mr. Lyell is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Nell Lyell, a son, Ronald Lyell (Jeanette) of St. Augustine, grandson, Michael Lyell of Jacksonville, granddaughter, Michelle Reynolds (Thomas) of Palm Coast, great granddaughters, Autumn and Haley Reynolds of Palm Coast, sister, Mrs. Frances Voss of Halls, TN and several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Lyell will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2009 in the chapel of Arlington Park Funeral Home at 1:00pm. Interment will follow in Arlington Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6-8:00pm at the funeral home.
