Mary Anne Carter, 70, of Jacksonville, passed away on  June 27, 2018. She was born to the late Martha Jo Holland and Fred Holland on April 30, 1948.

Mary was a homemaker living with her late husband, Jimmie C Carter. She loved gardening and watching birds and butterflies. She loved spending time with and caring for her grandkids and great-grandkids.

She was survived by five children and their spouses, Carol Barton (Briane), Mary Mason (Brian), Jo Harriss (Jeff),  James Carter (Kristie), and Betty Glover (Berry); 13 grandchildren, Rachel, Amanda, Jessie, Ashley, Kimberly, Robert, Heather, Jimmie, Faith, Tiffany, Anna, Abby and Cameron; her 11 great-grandchildren, Peyton, Cole, Keeley, Logan, Hazel, Skylar, Cora, Avery, Fletcher, Nova and Owen; a sister, Nancy Davis (Willie); three nieces; and a nephew.

Our mom was a loving and caring person that we loved very much.
