Obituary of Mary Pappas

Mary E. Pappas passed away peacefully after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. She is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, Tom, her son Michael, daughter-in-law, Monique, grandchildren, Derek, Alexandria, and Michael; and her daughter Nicole, son-in-law, George, and grandchildren Gabrielle and Lilly, along with a large extended family - sister, Genevieve, brothers Albert (Lillie) and George (Helen), nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and made a career as a teachers' assistant at Parkwood Heights Elementary School where she made many lifelong friends. Always there with a helping hand and a friendly smile, she was a warm, gentle and selfless angel who always put others ahead of herself. She will be remembered with love, laughter and happiness and we will miss her forever. A memorial mass will be held Saturday, March 27, 2010, 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Haven Hospice or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
