Obituary of Mary Potter
Mary Lee Potter, 84, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 23, 2009. She was born in Corduroy, Alabama on January 31, 1925 but was a Jacksonville resident for over 62 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde C. Potter, Sr. on December 8, 2000. She is survived by two sons, Rick (Beverly) and David Potter and one daughter, Mary E. Bridgeman (Melvin). Mary was also a grandmother and great grandmother who will be deeply missed by her grandson Matthew (Kristi) and great grandson Marshall Bridgeman. She also leaves behind two beloved step-grandchildren John Wells (Lindsay) and Kimberly Erney (Scott) and in addition, two step-great grandchildren, Savannah and Jacob Wells. In addition, numerous nieces and nephews will miss the quick smile and loving spirit of "Aunt Mary". The family will receive friends tonight, Tuesday, August 25, 2009 from 6:00-8:00pm at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road. Interment will be at Arlington Memorial Park at 11:00am on Wednesday, August 26, 2009. Pastor Blake Kotur of Fort Caroline Christian Church will officiate.
