Alice Thomas, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on March 2, 2026, in the comforting presence of her family. Born in Jacksonville, Florida, on November 23, 1954, Alice was the light and laughter in many lives, and her passing marks the end of an era filled with love, humor, and adventure.

Alice was predeceased by her beloved parents, James Bradley and Delores Stauffer, and her cherished husbands, Thomas Bennett and Terence Thomas. Her legacy of love carries on through her children: James Bennett, Jerimy Bennett and his wife Rachel, Jamie Whitlow and her husband Dan, Jessica Thomas, and David Thomas with his wife Annika. Her heart was further blessed with seven grandchildren: Jerimy, Jackson, Thomas, Wyatt, Alana, Katrina, and Layla, who brought her endless joy and pride. She is also survived by her dear sisters, Faye Everly and Gloria Bradley, whose bonds of sisterhood were a constant source of strength and joy throughout her life.

Alice dedicated over 60 years to customer service, a career that allowed her to touch the lives of countless individuals. Whether helping someone with their morning coffee, assisting with a bank deposit, or ensuring a car repair was completed on time, Alice was known for her warm "good morning" and infectious smile. She was the person everyone wanted to see when they needed help, offering not just service but genuine care and kindness.

Alice had an adventurous spirit that knew no bounds. She embraced every opportunity to create lasting memories with her loved ones, whether it was dining at a restaurant from a favorite movie scene or embarking on a globe-trotting journey to witness the elusive Northern Lights, which famously decided not to show up on her visit. Her bags were always packed, ready for the next adventure or family gathering.

Known for her quirky comebacks and inventive solutions to life's everyday challenges, Alice was the person you could rely on for a smile and a clever turn of phrase. She always carried a pocket knife and tape measure, ready for anything life might throw her way, often saying, "you never know when you'll need it." Her unique outlook on life and her witty sense of humor made her a treasured confidante and a source of endless laughter.

A service celebrating Alice's life will be held on March 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Arlington Park Funeral Home, located at 6920 Lonestar Rd. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Alice are invited to gather and honor her remarkable life, sharing stories and memories of a woman who brought light and love into the world in her own extraordinary way.
