Jason Matthew Sims "Matt", a Salesman and life-long resident of Jacksonville, FL, unfortunately passed away on April 2, 2022, while fighting a long battle from what was originally COVID. He was 44 years old.

Matt is survived by his wife, Donna Sims "Marie"; his mother, Patricia Wilson-Helms; his children, Cathryn Lively, Desiree Michaud, Joshua Michaud, Alic "Chase" Sims, Alaina "Lanny" Sims, Brianna Sims and Landon (Sims) Self; his sister, Melissa Benge; his brother, Mike Sims; his grandkids, Bentlee Michaud and Addilyn Michaud; and his in-laws, Alice Powell, Brandon Lively and Andrew Lucas. He is predeceased by his father, Alga Sims.

Matt was born in Jacksonville on November 4, 1977, to Patricia Wilson-Helms and Alga Sims. On October 20, 2018, he married Marie, a medical assistant and the love of his life, or his "beautiful wife" as he always called her.
Matt was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, friend and worker. He enjoyed helping anyone who was in his inner circle, or if he saw potential in you. He would give the shirt off his back, or all of the money in his pocket to anyone in need. Matt enjoyed spending Sundays with his Beautiful wife, going to flea markets, Fort Caroline National Monument and finding nature trails to walk down. Matt loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed collecting rare collectables, the kind you shouldn't take out of the box! He enjoyed working at Badcock where he took care of his clients and coworkers and helping them with any need they had.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
A funeral service in scheduled for 12:30 pm on May 3rd at Arlington Park Funeral Home. Tim Gibson and Johann Adams will officiate. Flowers may be offered at 6920 Lone Star Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32211.
