Maxine Pitts, 78, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 16, 2018 in Green Cove

Springs, Florida. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida to Charles and Maxine (Johnson)

Satterwhite on April 23, 1940.

Maxine attended Andrew Jackson High School where she was a cheerleader. Later in life

Maxine enjoyed dancing and attending all the Andrew Jackson get togethers. She had a

long career with the Internal Revenue Service where she was part of a team whom started in the early 80's to introducing computers to the agency. Maxine and her sister Sybil took great care of their parents before they passed.

Maxine's biggest love was her two boys. She loved going to all of their games and events

and was known to run along side her sons down the sideline of the football field as they

ran for a touchdowns.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her sons, Alan and Eric, and her grandchildren Jack and Ava.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 27, 2018 at 11am in the Arlington

Park Chapel, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL 32211 with Dr. Timothy

McDaniel officiating. A private internment will immediately follow in the Arlington Park Cemetery.
