Obituary of Mayme Potter

Mayme L. Potter, 88, went to be with the Lord on March 3, 2009. She is remembered as a loving wife, supportive mother, adoring grandmother and great grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 beautiful years, Mr. Harry Potter. She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Harry Potter (Karen), Kasandra Boxwell (Newman), William "Bill" Potter (Chris), and Kathy Leslie; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sister, Ruthlyn Lyon; and many loving friends. She was a devoted member of her church and is thought of as a prayer warrior. Mrs. Potter loved to be surrounded by her family and has left a legacy of humor, love, and trust. She loved to read and enjoyed crafting. Family will receive friends Thursday, March 5, 2009 from 6-8:00pm at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, March 6, 2009 at 10:00 am at North Jacksonville Baptist Church, 8531 North Main Street, Jacksonville, Florida. Interment will follow at Arlington Park Cemetery. Mrs. Potter will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her family requests that donations be made in Mayme's name to the building fund at North Jacksonville Baptist Church.
