Obituary of Mildred Siders
Mildred Siders, age 77, died at Memorial Hospital on Thursday night.
Born Mildred Louise Sparrowgrove on April 1, 1931, in the town of Marengo Iowa, she was the eldest daughter of Emma and Jim Sparrowgrove. Moving to Illinois at a young age, Millie spent her youth in the Moline area, where she met her future husband, Bob Siders. They moved to Jacksonville, Fl in 1960 with their three children.
Millie was a member at Arlington Baptist Church, and a proud and active sister in Beta Sigma Phi. She loved elephants, Elvis and her family, and was loved by everyone she met. A bigger heart has yet to be found.
She will continue to be loved by her siblings: Margie Constance, Loretta Roseman, Kenneth Sparrowgrove, Karen Pratt, Judy Lopez; Her children: Betty McKim, Bob and Nancy Siders, Linda Moore; Her grandchildren: Shawn and Julie McKim, Misty and Dean Bennett, Cody and Tina Hellum, Derek and Kim Siders, Miranda Bloodworth, Erin Siders, Victoria and Ronnie Myers, Keri and Jimmy Branch; Her great-grandchildren: Gage Bennett, Kelsey Hellum, Lauren Errico, Jaxon McKim, Riley Bennett; And best friend, Arleen Armstrong.
Friends are welcome to attend the viewing, Monday from 6-8pm, and the graveside service, Tuesday at 11am. Both funeral services will be held at Arlington Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial funds have been established in Millies name for the Huntingtons Disease Society of America.
