Obituary of Millie Taylor
Esther Mildred (Millie) Taylor was born September 12, 1917, in Harrisville, WV. She was married to Herbert Corder Taylor, Sr., for 66 years. She is also survived by Herbert Jr., Arthur, Robert and Roger Taylor, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Millie was a teacher for the Duval County School Board. She also taught piano in her home. She was a graduate of Wesleyan College in West Virginia. As an active member of the Terry Parker Baptist Church, she taught Sunday School and Church Training, served as a pianist and sang in the church choir.
There will be a memorial service at Terry Parker Baptist Church, 7024 Merrill Road, at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 with the Rev. Howard C. Goodwin officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32257.
