Obituary of Minnie Mae Frazier

On February 29, 2008 Minnie Mae Brown Frazier went to be with the Lord. She was born on September 22, 1916 to Minnie Whitworth Brown and George Henry Brown, Sr. She graduated from Andrew Jackson Sr. High School where she was a cheerleader and she served on the reunion committee for many years. She loved sports and played on county softball and basketball teams. From the time her oldest child started school until her youngest graduated she was active in the PTA. She would serve on many committees and was also an officer at Southside Grammar #7 and Landon Jr. / Sr. High School. She also served as President of Duval County Council of P.T.A. several times. She attended the National Convention twice as a representative. Minnie Mae was always active in her church, including teaching classes and leading the youth group. The love she gave to us all is never ending and will never leave us. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Clement Frazier and four siblings, George H. Brown, Jr., Thomas Wayland Brown, Violet R. Secord Gossman and Bernice Amanda Secord. Survivors include three sons, Maurice Clement Frazier, Jr., Richard Thomas Frazier and Edward Franklin Frazier; daughter, Martha Maureen Frazier Pittman; 12 grandchildren to whom she was called Nana and 18 great grandchildren who called her Great Nana; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2008 at 11:00a.m. in the chapel of Arlington Park Funeral Home. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 from 6-8:00p.m. at the funeral home.
