Misty Dawn McBride, 48, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on January 14, 2026, at Mayo Hospital.

Misty graduated from Palm Avenue Exceptional Center. Misty will be remembered for her love of children, pets, and her resilience, which she showed despite her disabilities. She enjoyed music, cartoons, coffee, and most of all, she loved spending time with the people who loved her deeply. She leaves behind many cherished memories with those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Misty was preceded in death by both of her parents and her grandparents and leaves behind her sister, Tammy McBride, a nephew, Ryan (Krissy) Hurst, and their five children, a niece, Kaitlyn Hurst, and a host of extended family that includes aunts, uncles, cousins, caregivers at A Sanctuary House, and several friends. Misty's memory will live on through the love she gave and the lives she touched.

Services will be held at Arlington Park Funeral Home, located at 6920 Lone Star Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32211.

The family will have a viewing for Misty on January 23rd from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., immediately followed by the funeral and graveside services.
