Natividad "Naty" P. Abando was called home to our Lord on April 14, 2022. She was born in Bayambang, Pangasinan (Philippines) on December 25, 1938 to Melanio and Maxima Puzon.
Naty, to all who knew her, was a caring friend, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She possesses a generous spirit that quietly takes joy in helping those who are in need. She welcomes everyone as "friend" and embraces friends as "family". Her love for her family, both immediate and extended, was always endearing and will forever be missed.
She married Venancio "Ven" F. Abando in 1969 and lived in Quezon City, Philippines where they were blessed with four children. As an Agricultural Engineer, she worked for more than 2 decades at the Bureau of Agricultural Extension helping and teaching farmers in rural provinces all over the Philippines.
Around the year 2001, Naty and Ven migrated to the US. Settling in Jacksonville, Florida, she worked at Wal-Mart until she retired in 2020 after having been
diagnosed with breast cancer; for which she spent time in Los Angeles, California to receive treatments.
Naty is survived by four children, Mel, Rudy, Joma, and Vernie; six grandchildren, Morgan, Miko, Gabby, Miguel, Daimler, and Ingrid; two great-grandchildren, Cato and Nora; four brothers, Romeo, Wayne, Jorge, and Junior; and 3 sisters, Luz, Myrna, and Raquel.
