Obituary of Nellie Johnson

Nellie Windlyon Johnson, 92, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2009. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and caring friend to all who knew her. Nellie is preceded in death by her loving husband Frazier Johnson; son Jimmy Hall and granddaughter Janet Hall. She loved her gardens and her cats. Nellie is survived by her daughter Thelma R. Coleman; granddaughters Windlyon Matthews and Marlene (Frank) Laidler; great-grandchildren Marvin (Jacquelyn) Williams Jr., Ruby (Brian) Gale Jones, Terry (Sheryl) Lee Hall, Debra Ann Hall, Jimmy (Elonda) Matthews Jr. and Tonya Matthews; many great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews; she will be missed by her last living brothers and sister. Family will receive friends at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, for a visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 25, 2009 and a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow.
