Nita Carter, age 92, passed away on July 21, 2016 in Seminole, FL. She was born in Wheeler County, Georgia, the daughter of William T. and Clara Bell Brown. She resided in Jacksonville, FL. and was a member of Ft. Caroline Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Rachel Chambless and Margaret Donahue.

She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, A. L. Carter; 2 daughters: Carol "Dee" Wilson, Brenda Lownsbury and her husband, Jeff; 5 grandchildren: Dean Harkey and his wife Karen, Tiffany Coryell, Trevor Coryell, Troy Coryell, Brandon Lownsbury; 4 sisters, Faye Effler, Linda Palechek, Judy Dennis, and Jan Hepfer and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will begin at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Arlington Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211. Burial to follow at the Cemetery.
